And as if that isn’t enough deep dive craziness, Big Finish is going to fill your summer with stories of the War Master and the Eighth Doctor politely nodding at each other and perhaps battling for the fate of the universe. Gloom, doom, and light-eating tentacle dogs are the topic du jour for the Three Who Rule, as they viewed the Rona Munro penned, Charles Palmer helmed “The Eaters of Light” and formed cogent, well reasoned analyses of the third to last episode of Series 10, and didn’t at all speculate wildly about Mondasian Cybermen, bearded former Masters, Missy’s weird turn towards mercy and more. And speaking of Masters, Big Finish just announced that Derek Jacobi will return to his “Utopia” role as the Doctor’s best enemy with a new series of “War Master” audios, which recent BF convert Warren is feverishly anticipating! Plus Moffatt and Chibnall interviews, side glances at Funk Pops, and…yes, stats. Now go eat a fried Mars Bar and stand around on a dark Scottish moor contemplating the futility of existence! Go on!

Dollies, Nardole and a reliably batty, 83 years young Tom Baker are the mere froth on the fancy latte of Whographica, an exquisite collection of infographics featuring incredibly nerdy deep dives into the corners and recesses of Doctor Who trivia. We interviewed authors Simon Guerrier, Steve O’Brien and Ben Morris, to find out what went into this expansive and frankly obsessive labour of love. Adjust your rectangular framed glasses, straighten your turtleneck, and enjoy! And listen in to see how you can win a copy of Whographica (courtesy BBC Books) of your very own!

Gallifrey One Guest Update – October 14, 2011

Gallifrey One has announced another guest update for the 2012 edition of the popular Doctor Who convention, featuring first-time guest W. Morgan Sheppard, and writer Simon Guerrier!

Sheppard played the older version of Canton Everett Delaware III in this past series of Doctor Who and joins his son, Mark, as a guest for the upcoming convention. Guerrier is known for his work with his brother Thomas on the Classic Doctor Who DVD range along with writing novels, Big Finish audio plays and more.

Also announced today are actress Chase Masterson who made an appearance at the previous Gallifrey One, director James Kerwin, illustrator Blair Shedd, animator Aimee Major Steinberger, and NASA scientist Dr Kevin Grazier.

Unfortunately the announcement today also revealed previously-announced guest Frazer Hines would be unable to attend.

Gallifrey One is North America’s largest Doctor Who convention and Network 23, running February 17-19, 2012, will be dedicated to the memory of Elisabeth Sladen and Nicholas Courtney.

Have a listen!
