The time has finally arrived for The Three Who Rule to cast their eyes back on Series 6 of Doctor Who via their annual commentary series. Things kick off with, of course, The Impossible Astronaut, as the lads talk over what they felt to be one of the best opening episodes for any series of NuWho… and as ever, rarely staying on topic. But for every beginning there’s an ending as the last ever episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures graced the small screen this past week, and things just won’t be the same without Lis Sladen. The news of the week rounds out the show with a look at DVDs, books, and the latest from the rumour mill. |

| North American, aka Region 1, Revisitations DVDs have not been coming fast or furiously thus far, with only the TV Movie being released on this side of the Atlantic. That’s thankfully changing with the October 11 release of The Talons of Weng-Chiang, a 3-disc set, to get us caught up with two thirds of the first Revisitations box set. That still leaves a Region 1 release of The Caves of Androzani forthcoming.
Note also no second DVD title has yet been announced for September to go along with the Day of the Daleks release, though of course if any updates come out about that – or a second October, 2011 title – we’ll bring you the news. SRP will be $34.98; check out TVShowsOnDVD.com for more details. |
The Three Who Rule bury the hatchet regarding The Incident in time to talk to iconic Doctor Who director Graeme Harper in this, the last Radio Free Skaro episode from Gallifrey 21. Harper’s work, which indirectly inspired Radio Free Skaro to be created, is discussed at great length, including the controversial Warriors’ Gate, the legendary The Caves of Androzani, and how Harper just missed out on directing for Series Fnarg – twice. |
